My name is Michelle Weiss. I started competitively swimming when I was six years old and have loved the sport ever since. Being an athlete has its ups and downs but it is something that greatly defines who I am. I was forced to sit out for three seasons while I was fourteen and fifteen due to a knee injury. After recovering, I had to make the decision on whether or not I should get back in the pool. I felt left out on many things that I missed but the goals I had for myself and my determination pushed me back into the water and I was able to swim my first meet uninjured in March of 2021. Getting back to where I was before and continuing to improve has been hard, but I wouldn't want to stop for anything. During my years out of the water, I grew in many other areas of my life. I found my love for school and music as well as strengthening my relationships with the people in my life. I will graduate in the spring of 2023 with hopes of earning honors along the way. After high school, I plan to continue my education and swimming career at a four-year university. I hope to find a fitting college as well as an amazing team to be a part of. One thing that I am very passionate about is having a positive impact on my team and helping to achieve a good team dynamic. After getting back to swimming I have loved helping the team grow and pushing us, as a whole, to be better every day. Being a role model on the team is one of the best parts of the sport. I deeply love the sport of swimming and I am very excited to see where it will take me.
