Alyssa Coon '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Alyssa Coon and I will be a 2017 graduate of Stone Bridge High School.  I have been swimming since summer of 2006, when I fell in love with the sport.  I joined a year-round club team and have been swimming 11 months out of the year since then.  I am passionate about the sport and I love to transfer my passion to children in my community through coaching my summer team.  I am entering my fourth year as a summer coach, two as a volunteer coach, and this will be my second summer as a paid Junior Coach.  I swim competitively for Coach Robbie Robins at NCAP Swim Club.  I am an excellent student, and transfer the discipline and determination I have to do my best from classroom to the pool, and vice versa.  I take a mixture of Honors and AP classes and have a wonderful work ethic in all that I do.  I have been involved in Girl Scouts since Kindergarden, and have earned my Silver Award.  My troop focuses most of our time on community service activities.  I am a member of the National Honor Society,  and am Co-Captain of my high school swim team.  I am fascinated by Psychology and plan to major in that field in college, perhaps becoming a Sports Psychologist.  I can't wait to take my education to the next level, and look forward to including swimming in my college career.
