I was born in Sydney Australia and moved to the states when I was six months old. I started playing tennis when I was in 8th grade. I was stolen from the hockey team to play for the tennis team because they thought that my skills could transition over easily. I really fell in love with the sport when I almost hit my teammate, who was captain at the time, in the face with the tennis ball from my backhand. I love the competitive edge that tennis gives me. My backhand is my favorite shot because of playing left handed in hockey, therefore making easier for me to pick it up quickly. After that year I became more involved with the sport, pushing myself, improving my strokes so I can become a real opponent. If I was not on the ice, you can find me on the tennis court either with my parents or with a coach improving my skills. My dream is to play professional tennis, but I know I still have a lot more work to do before I can get to that level. However, I am willing to push myself to attain this goal. My personality on the court is very competitive and hard working. If someone tries to do a drop shot, I will hustle until I get that ball over the net. I like to train hard on and off the court, and willing to stay back for extra time. I would love to learn new skills and strategies to improve my game. I want to be able to play with the best players, and have that feeling of never backing down from the hard battles. In school I am interested in the medical and sports science fields.
