Erina Quinn '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'7", 135 pound athlete. I made the LSC All-Conference team in 2010 and 2011. I was a team captain my senior year and I influenced the team to work hard. Since I go to a small school there are always team members who aren't too serious about tennis and joke around. I learned how to deal with such attitudes and try to influence the girls to be a little more serious. Having fun is important, but in order to succed in tennis you have to focus. Our tennis team has been known to have a weak conditioning program, but that changed this last year. I lead the team on runs and initiated many sprints and we did many other beneficial exercises. Some may say I work too hard, but that's impossible. There's always room for improvement. I love tennis and I love playing and developing my athletic skill, and hope to continue playing for the rest of my life. I really don't have a strong geographical preference for my prospective college. But, since I've lived in Minnesota for quite a while, maybe some warmth would be nice. I have no strong preferences for college size or division level. So far, I think I want to major in some sort of science - I'm currently leaning towards biology. I am also considering going pre-med. My athletic goals would be to play as a freshman and be a part of a college team. I want to be the strongest player, both mentally and physically, that I can be. I would really love to continue playing tennis in college.
