Ava Koczera-Kasem '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi coaches! My name is Ava and I'm a rising senior in the class of 2025. I hope to continue playing the sport I love on a college team. I've tried plenty of sports growing up, but tennis is the only one that I really fell in love with at 9 years old and stuck with it all these years. My freshman year I played 1st Doubles on the varsity team and won the RI Doubles State Title with my partner. Even though we were up against much stronger players, our drive to win and ability to stay consistent under pressure helped us pull through despite being the underdogs. I played 2nd Singles sophomore year and 1st Singles this past year, my junior year. I was a co-captain of the team during my junior year and will be assuming that role for the 2nd year in a row for my senior season so I will be highly experienced in successfully leading a team. I also highly value my academics and the role they will play in the next 4 years of my life as I currently hold a cumulative 3.9 unweighted GPA (4.0 junior year) and plan on taking a total of 6 AP classes by the time I graduate.
