After having two knee surgeries in the fall, playing sports again felt like the hardest thing in the world. Instead of ending my athletic career then, I decided to try Track and Field for the first time this spring. I had not even held a shotput, discus, or javelin until March of this year. I qualified and competed at state for all of these events in May. I would like the opportunity to continue to build my skills athletically and academically at the next level. I take advantage of opportunity and knowledge and use it to the best of my ability to become a better person on and off the field.
