Personal Statement

Hello, I am Calla Fish and I live in rural Alaska and go to a small junior/senior high school with around 230 students. I am a dedicated athlete and student. Living in Alaska and trying to train for track year-round can be challenging with icy and snowy roads and very cold temperatures (sometimes reaching -40 Fahrenheit).

Are you in honor classes?

Yes. I passed honors English sophomore year with an A, and I am part of the National Honors Society.

Are you in AP/IB classes?

Yes. I have passed the AP Psychology and Human Geography exams with a score of 5, and the AP Seminar exam with a 3. I am now in AP pre-calculus, AP environmental science, and AP research. I am striving to achieve the AP Capstone diploma by the end of this year, which I will do if I pass all of my exams in the spring.
