Personal Statement
Words cannot even explain how much I enjoy doing track. My goal for the past 3 years has been to run in college and thrive on and off the track. Running with a team has helped me become a better individual, as well as a better teammate. Running has help teach me life lessons including, perseverance, leadership, and the importance of being on a team. I am an athlete who will go the extra mile and work my hardest at each and every practice. I take corrections and apply them to everything I do at practice and at meets. I have learned that failure comes before success. When you don’t win you go to practice and work on how to make yourself better. What makes me a different athlete from everyone else is because I run not just for myself but for my team as a whole and for my coaches who help me persevere through every practice and help me through my injuries. I would like to pursue a career in business and I currently hold a 3.69 GPA in my sophomore year.
