Hello, my name is Megan Decker. I am currently a student at Coginchaug Regional High School in Durham, Connecticut. I do both indoor and outdoor track during the winter and spring seasons. During the fall I play on varsity for the high school soccer team.
Ever since I started high school, I knew that I wanted to continue my athletic career into college. At the time of my freshman year, I wanted to go to college for soccer, but after competing in track, for the first time my freshman year, I knew that I wanted to continue my career in track rather than soccer. The first time on the track was a bit rough, but as time passed my times kept getting better and I started to become a better track athlete.
I think that I would be a good fit for your team because of my will to work hard. On the track and off the track I am basically the same person, I work hard everyday both academically and athletically. When I get assigned a task my goal is to complete that task no matter how hard or tough it is. My goal is to go to college for a sport that I have invested so much time of my life into and the sport that I have come to care about so much. To me track isn't just about running and sprinting, it is about the will to work hard no matter how hard it becomes.
