Lanaya Kellum '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lanaya Kellum and I'm a Junior at Beecher High School in Illinois. I've been in track and field ever since my first year of middle school. Every year, I tell myself, "You'll get better, it just takes practice." Every year I'm right. My peers around me encourage me whenever they can, and in turn, I encourage them. The teams I meet and the friends I make are possibly the best part of the sport for me. Being able to meet others with different experiences widens my view of the sport I love.
