My name is Veronica Dworak, and my goal is to find a college where I can excel both academically and athletically. I have been running cross country and track competitively for almost two years. In the 2020 and 2021 XC Seasons, I earned the MVP Award and the GCAC All-Conference Athletic Award. In 2021, my first year as a high school track and field athlete, I was proud to reset two school records in the 1600 and 3200, earn the MVP Award, and represent my school at the State Meet for the 3200. I come from a multi-sport background, having previously played basketball and volleyball competitively. I narrowed my focus to running because it is my greatest passion. I aspire to major in physical therapy, while also developing my skills on both the cross country and track teams at my future college. My values of determination, hard work, passion, and commitment work in tandem with my goal to be the best version of myself.
In the classroom, I am determined as a student to excel in my classes, and I strive to maintain and improve my GPA while challenging myself with Honors and AP classes.
I attend practice with enthusiasm and a hunger for improvement, and I give my very best at every moment of every race. In the off season, I challenge myself and seek additional growth opportunities in all of my events. To every season, I bring support and encouragement to my teammates, and I am invested in the best interest of the team at all times. I am committed to the pursuit of excellence in all that I do.
