December 2017I'm Eileen Schenfeld. I'm currently a freshman at Resurrection High School in Chicago, Illinois, where I am on the Varsity golf team. My average score is typically around 52 right now for 9 holes and around 104 for 18 holes, and I know I will keep getting better as I play more. Although I have played before I just started playing competitively this year. I think golf is a great sport and I really enjoy playing. When I play golf, my stress leaves and all I think about it golf. I love playing because it relaxes me and makes me happy. I have a lot of family members who are big into golf, and they started to talk me into starting to play. My dad was the person who really helped me become the golfer I am today. I am a very determined person and I work for what I want to achieve. I golf after school 3 or more times a week. I also plan to keep working on my game in the off season and I am going to take lessons, and make sure to hit plenty of balls to keep my skills up. I already have come a very long way from were I started and I know I will keep getting better as I keep playing. My grades are relatively good. I am a straight B student; and I know that I will try my hardest to keep my studies up so I can get into a good school. I have good study habits and always do/turn my work in on time and I am very organized. In conclusion, my combination of determination, talent and hard work will make me a good candidate to play college golf.
