Grace Leis '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a goal driven person. I set my goals , and there is no stopping me until I accomplish what I set out to do. Family and friends are the most important things to me and I work hard to maintain good relationships with them because I believe that how we treat people determines our character. I am a leader, and while winning is important, so is being consistent and motivated to work hard and become better even when you don't win. Growing up, my family decided to foster children. From this experience I had the opportunity to see what giving a good home to children who were in a bad situation can do for not only the children, but also for me as a sister. From this I learned how kindness and love can change someone's life, and that is a lesson I will carry with me. Academically and athletically, I am very successful. I have straight A's and am very competitive in all of my events. Being out on the field with my hammer and discus is an experience that always puts a smile on my face and I hope that it never changes because it is my dream to compete at the collegiate level.
