Laila Guy '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Laila Guy and I am currently a thrower for Baton Rouge Magnet High School. As the end of my high school career comes nearer, the reality that I am about to go to college does as well.  I do not yet know what I want to do, but field- wise, I know I want to be the best that I can be. My collegiate goals and aspirations include balancing college life and field well while putting my name in the record books. A character trait that I possess that I believe would make me a good candidate for your team is perseverance. As an athlete, I've learned that not everything is going to go my way every time and that it takes hard work to be great.  I think what makes me different from other recruits is that I see life from an "I can and I will" perspective. If you have no hope or reassurance in yourself or your goals, then your will to do them is most likely diminutive. I know that if I work hard enough, then I will see my dreams and goals unfold in front of me, and that is exactly what I plan to do.
