After navigating the challenges of college applications and recruitment as a young athlete with no support, I made the mistake of going to a school that didn’t offer me anything and struggled to walk on the team and constantly got the run around. I attended Grambling State University for four years. During those four years I never left the track and I was determined to continue my track career no matter. Undeterred by setbacks, not letting Grambling stop me, I reignited connections with coaches who had offered scholarships during high school. My determination paid off, and I transferred to Ottawa University in Kansas on a track scholarship, continuing to pursue my passion for track and field for fall 2025. My long term goal is to pursue a professional career on and off the track.
