Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Keala and I want to do college track. I started pole-vaulting in 6th grade because my brother did it, therefore I had to do it too, (and better). My goal is to pole-vault 12ft by the end of my senior year, and I think it's pretty achievable. I would like to be able to continue my favorite sport throughout college and keep striving for higher heights. I love spending time with my teammates in and out of practice and having a close bond with everyone around me. I think something that sets me apart from other recruits would be that I love learning. I actually enjoy school and studying, as well as learning new form and different ways to vault higher. I also really like strength training as well, I find it calming. I hope you read this and think of me in good light, as a sophomore I think I have lots of potential and I hope you will continue to watch me grow the next couple years!
