Personal Statement
I fell in love with baseball at an extremely young age. My parents tell me that I started swinging baseball bats before I could even walk. My parents have helped me through everything in life especially when it took a turn when I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Despite having this happen to me, it hasn't held me back once.
The school I attend, Benson High School, has never really been good at baseball. With next year being my second year of Varsity, I'm confident that I can continue to be a key part of the team and help bring enthusiasm and energy. I have learned to sprint out every single ball that I hit since a pop fly that is dropped could put me at second base. Being a student athlete in college is a huge goal since I want to play the game I love while getting a great education.
I have had the great honor to learn from and play under former pro baseball player, Mike Kingery. He has taught me everything about the great game of baseball and has filled me with some extraordinary wisdom and advice. I believe that learning everything I have, I now have the work ethic and great characteristics to be able to play at the college level.
