To start off, I have always been dedicated and always had a motivated mentality and always set goals after every single race and never became comfortable with the times I got so I guess you can say I always had expectations for myself. Doing a sport that results in working with others always had me push my teammates to be the best versions of themselves and to put themselves out there with everything they have just like how I always do. What I would say makes me different from most athletes is sometimes having to be my own hype man running in races completely on my own and always thinking of my coaches and how much time they dedicate to me and wanting to always make people proud and push past my limits. Watching my sister do cross country and track as a little kid had me know once I started running freshman year that it’s such a big goal of mine to run at a d1 or d2 level.
