Dear collegiate coaches,
My name is Kyla Palmer and I have been running track competitively for five years, though in the last two the sport has become much more important to me. I have run five seasons of school track as well as two winter seasons and one summer season. For the first two years of high school, I ran for Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian, Idaho, however, now that my family has moved I will be running my junior, winter season and all upcoming high school seasons with Skaneateles High School. Originally, I was a 100 and 200 runner, however after running the 400 for the first time this winter it has become my main event. In the future, I would be willing to become a more versatile candidate by trying other events as well. As a committed athlete I understand that hard work is necessary for improvement, but I don’t only work hard in track. I also have a 4.0 in school while taking both ap and honors classes. On top of my demanding school and track schedule, I am also able to find various organizations to donate my time freely to. Track is a part of my life I would really like to continue in the future, so thank you for considering me in the selection process.
