Running is the most elite sport. It takes confidence, resilience, persistence, tenacity, and above all: dedication. Following my freshman year, I knew I wanted to improve my splits. I signed up for a half marathon and completed it in winter 2020 in 1 hour, 46 minutes. Though my track season was cancelled due to COVID-19, I have continued to train and am anticipating breaking the 20- minute mark in my 5k this year. I am a three-season athlete: cross country, swimming, and track are my passions. Though the virus has cancelled academic opportunities for me, sports are still going: I would dream to run in college.
