HIGHLY MOTIVATED AND COACHABLE STUDENT ATHLETE SEEKING COACH TO HELP REACH MY FULL POTENTIAL:

Hello Coaches! My name is Avery and I am junior at Granville High School in Granville, Ohio with a passion for track and field. I am hoping to use this platform as a place to find the right academic and athletic fit for me post graduation. I have only been running track since my freshman year, but I am also a 3-year letter winner on our varsity soccer team. I think I have the tenacity and the grit to be a successful contributor on a collegiate track and field team- exemplified by my comeback this year from an L2 pars defect (fracture) in my spine, which required me to undergo a partial spinal fusion at the end of November 2023. I have worked hard rehabilitating in physical therapy and the weight room so that I could return to track for my junior season. After receiving the full clear to return, I have been slowly but surely shaving time off my current marks. I am hungry to be coached and to be an asset to a team that fits both my academic and athletic needs. 

Highlights in my career include:

2022 D1 OHSAA Track and Field Championship at Jesse Owens- 4th place finish 4x4 (prelims fastest time 3:55.89)  Freshman year

2023 D1 Ohio Indoor State Meet at Spire Institute- 2nd place finish 4x4 (4:01.48) Sophomore Year 

2024 Licking County League 400m Champion
