Amelia Fries '28 Recruiting Profile

Hi. My name is Amelia Fries and I’m in the class of 2028. I started running cross country and track in 7th grade after the coach convinced me it would be great conditioning for basketball. I had never ran before and didn’t think I would like it but I quickly fell in love with running. I now strive to be a college athlete in cross country and track. I hold my schools record in the 800m at 2:24.22 and placed 6th in the OHSAA middle school state meet. My time of 5:31.20 in the 1600m is the second all time for my middle school. In cross country my fastest 3200m is 12:17.67. As a student I am just as driven in the classroom. I maintain all A’s/A-‘s with a GPA of 3.94. I also received the Archie Griffin award for athletic and academic achievement for my school. I am very driven and coachable and will do everything in my ability to do what is asked of me.
