Growing up in a single mother household I learned a lot about determination and resiliency, which translated to the sport I love. My passion for running started in a 5th grade running club and I’ve been committed to competing ever since. Two of the biggest lessons I’ve learned during my career is effort and discipline will win over natural born talent every time, as well as my ability to adapt to new conditions and challenges.
My mother went back to college to pursue a more stable career as a nurse to support my brothers and I. This inspired me to follow into a profession in the medical field. I’m looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. One of my biggest skills as a leader is to help my team members believe in themselves and consistently perform beyond their own expectations. I believe I not only have the dedication, work ethic and talent to compete for a college team but the character of a leader to make a prompt impact on your program.
