When I was younger I used to play soccer. While playing soccer I noticed running never really felt like a punishment. When I started running in seventh grade I quickly realized this was my passion. When I got on the track in 7th grade I could barely run a 6:45 mile. I started pushing myself in training and my times started massively improving and my passion continued to grow. I joined a competitive team and that took running to another level. As my training increased so did my friendships with my teammate. My teammates became like family because we were all striving for the same goal and dedicated ourselves everyday. Running has taught me very valuable lessens. I learned to trust in the process and that hard work pays off. Running teaches you discipline and not only to be physically strong but mentally strong. I apply the lessons i’ve learned from running to my everyday life. I strive to maintain a 4.0 in high-school. In college I want to obtain a degree in the major I declare, and learn valuable skills to help me obtain a good job in the future while maintaining a high gpa.
