My name is Nataly Walters. I am from a small rural town in Pennsylvania. I aspire to find a Division 1 University that can fulfill my academic and athletic dreams. I am a great candidate for any team because I strive to follow the three Ls in life; listen, learn, and lead. I have always tried to become the best version of myself and I have found if you take the time to listen to others you can increase your ability to understand, not just yourself, but everything in your environment. My willingness to learn has got me to where I am today and will continue to assist me in becoming a medical professional (nursing, physician assistant, or doctor) and collegiate athlete. My ability to listen effectively has made me a very coachable athlete. I am looking forward to working with a coach who has the ability to help me improve my natural jumping ability through their experience and advice. I have taken advantage of learning from some amazing family members, teachers, coaches, strangers, and leaders. I believe my grades, athletic achievements, activities, and interests all validate my ability to excel from my ability to learn. Lead, this was not always the most comfortable "L" for me. I often was thrown into a leadership role, but now I am more confident in stepping into this role as needed. This past track season, my jumping coach was still assisting with basketball at the start of our season, so I was asked to lead the other jumpers by helping them obtain their steps, create and demonstrate drills, and teach technique. I believe this created a healthy team environment. So as I move on to college, I will continue to use these three Ls to help me excel. I am looking forward to having the opportunity to further share ways I can be an asset to a collegiate track and field team.
