I am a serious student and athlete.
In high school, I play volleyball and compete in indoor and outdoor track - throwing the hammer, weight and shot. I want to continue to compete at a high-level in track and field. I became interested in throwing because of my father. He competed in Division I at the University of Rhode Island. I am also fortunate to go to a high school with a rich tradition of throwing, with Robert Palazzo as my coach. He is focused on excellence and has helped me develop as an athlete and as a student. This spring, we could not compete due to COVID-19, but I have continued my training and throw on a regular basis.
In school, I am a top student and take challenging courses, including AP courses in math, science, and English. I also study Italian and will travel to Italy for the third time next spring with my school. I attend a rigorous college-prep public school in Providence, RI. It is ranked #1 in the state and is a National Blue Ribbon School.
I want to attend a college where I will be challenged as an athlete and as a student.
