Personal Statement

Hi,

I am Nayla Harris, originally born in Germany but raised in Texas. I started competing in track when I was  about 10 years old. I aspire to run at the collegiate level after graduating high school. Looking towards the future, I am searching for a school that can provide me with a high level of competition to improve my running times and jumping marks, as well as a place where i can excel in my preferred choice of major, food science. My drive, focus to detail, and intensity on/off the track and in the classroom set me apart from other track and field athletes.  By holding myself to this level, I lead my teammates and set an example that pushes them to strive for success.    I like to draw however, I am not very good at it; I also enjoy playing video games. Ultimately, I have high hopes that my talent combined with hard work will get me far.
