In every activity I participate in, I enjoy pushing myself and my teammates towards a common goal. I love the thrill of winning, and even when I do not I take that as an opportunity to work harder to achieve my goals. I believe to earn anything in life it takes hard work, dedication, and most importantly focus. I try to not focus just on racing and getting first every time, but instead focusing on how the decisions I make presently on the track will affect my future. For instance, improving my times, how those times will be perceived by college coaches, and using the gift God has blessed me with to provide myself with an excellent education that, in the future, will help me get a job in my career choice. Track and field has provided me with many opportunities to get better, keep working even when times get tough, and meet countless influential coaches and teammates who have contributed so much in life. For the future, I aspire to attend a college and work on a career in early child development and possibly, with enough training, succeed in running in the Olympics.
