Personal Statement
I was a gymnast and dancer growing up. I continued dancing through middle school, but when I went to high school, I started running. I never imagined I would end up loving to run, but without my mother and my coach, I wouldn't be where I am now. It's been a ride over the past four years that I've been running. If it weren't for my commitment to my sport and discipline, I wouldn't have advanced as much as I did during the last four years. I am equally as disciplined in school as I am in sports because I recognize how important my education is. In addition to achieving my objective of becoming a doctor in the medical field, I want to continue making progress in my running career. My passions are running, sports, and medicine, so I just know that's what I want to keep doing in the future.
