In middle school, I ran on the cross-country team from the 5th grade to the 8th grade. I was a part of the 3-peat TCIS championship team, from 6th-8th grade. I placed 16th in the championships in sixth and seventh grade, and in eigth grade I was 7th in the TCIS championships individually.
Currently, I am on the varsity Track and Field team, for indoor and outdoor, at Norfolk Academy. In indoor, we won 1st in TCIS, placed 2nd in VISAA, and then came back to win States. For outdoor, we won TCIS, VISAA, and States, and I placed 2nd in the 300m hurdles.
I am a hardworker, both on and off the field. Academics and Athletics are massive priorities for me. When I'm not on the track, I'm studying or participating in my school's clubs. I show outstanding leadership qualities by mentoring younger runners on the team by helping them become better runners, as well as helping them in their classes. I have a willingness to take risks by pushing myself harder in classes, in addition to the track and weight room. I am also dedicated to helping our community by participating at local shelters. I am humble and kind hearted, for I am always looking to make people smile.
As to my future goals and aspirations, I hope to attend the college of my dreams and running on the Track and Field team. I hope to major in English. After college, I hope to run professionally. It would be a dream of mine to represent my country. I also hope to acquire a fabulous job. I understand that it takes total dedication and willingness to go so far, but any dream can be achieved if I put in every ounce of commitment to see how much I can achieve.
