Shot put has certainly played a huge role in my life, which makes me wish that I had known it existed sooner.  2018 may have just been one of the most difficult periods of time for me, but this sport and my team certainly helped the cope. I became inspired by a classmate and have been fortunate enough to become a regional champion in and outdoor of my rookie season as a sophomore.

This sport has certainly taught me  value of dedication, perseverance, and commitment. These are the words I have to remember in every meet, and can be used in any setting. I myself have to realize, I will not PR EVERY meet, nor will I do everything perfectly, and that shouldn't discourage me, but it should motivate me to do better the next time!
