Personal Statement
My name is Kaitlyn Loy and I am 17 years old going into my senior year. I have been attending Faith Christian Academy for 14 years. I love to workout, draw, and hangout with friends. I have been doing track for 6 years and competitive gymnastics for 10 years. In gymnastics, I am a level 9 gymnast, who is training for level 10. I currently work as a gymnastics coach at Flip Over Gymnastics for almost 5 years.
My goal is to run track in college, improve my track and field abilities, and make a good impact on the team. I would love to go D2 or D3 in track and field. I am also wanting to major in Health Science to become a Physical trainer. I feel what makes me different in some ways than other recruits is that I am highly-motivated in track and field, willing to go the extra mile and put in the work. I participate in track camps during the summer as well as summer track meets for fun. I care about what my coaches say and take it to heart while maintaining good grades. I care about helping others out and having good sportsmanship is very important to me.
What would you get in recruiting me? I believe that I will make a good candidate to have on a track team because I am very determined. I love to challenge and push myself. I am good at taking corrections and I am a fast learner. I love track and have a passion for it. I work very hard to have a good balance in my academic, track, gymnastics, and social life. I strive to do my best in everything I do. I have a good work ethic in both track and in my academics. I am dependable and open to try anything. I am good at working with other people and have good self-discipline.
