Ellie Kleven '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ellie Kleven and I am junior attending South Anchorage High School. I have been playing volleyball since I can remember. My sister is eight years older than me and I grew up watching her play volleyball in high school and college. We played countless hours of pepper in my living room and that is where I developed a love for the game and the desire to compete, (and excellent ball control by the way)  Effort and attitude have always been the most important things to me when playing volleyball. I always know if I put in the effort the result will come. I play with confidence and ease, am very hard to rattle and a great teammate. I love a challenge. I have always played up in age divisions and have flourished being surrounded by better players. I also have challenged myself academically with taking honors and AP classes. I am currently taking 4 AP classes and have a 3.7 GPA. Currently I lead the State of Alaska in assists and have almost reached 3000 career assists after my junior year. I am the recipient of many volleyball awards. I was named to the 2024 AVCA Phenom Watch list, 1st team all-conference as a sophomore and junior, All conference honorable mention as a freshman, and Tournament MVP for the Dimond Service Tournament this year, First team all State and I was also named the 2024 ASAA 4A Best Setter and as a captain, I led my team to a 2nd place State finish this season. I hope to continue to challenge myself by playing volleyball at the collegiate level. I believe I have the work ethic, the motivation and the love for the game to excel in a college atmosphere. I am very coachable and will always strive to be the best athlete, student, and person that I can be. I hope to play at a competitive college that also fits the college atmosphere I am looking for.
