Personal Statement
Coming from a sports minded family where many generations have played sports at a high level, I always knew I wanted to be apart of the tradition. But I really did not know what my sport was. I tried baseball, soccer, swimming, and martial arts. It wasn't until after watching the Olympics and seeing the thrilling speed of play, a long with the support of the team had for one another that my interest was sparked in volleyball.
I began playing at age 9 and immediately fell in love with it. I quickly developed the want to play at the highest level and play far into the future. My goals are to grow every year, earn a varsity letter at least three of the four years in high school. Which as a Junior I already have. I want to make a USA Volleyball High Performance team, earn a spot on at least one USA Volleyball National Women's team, earn a college scholarship for volleyball and one day play in the Olympics. Academically, I push the drive for myself just as much athletically. Just as my family is a sports family, they are equally successful in academics. I also wish to continue in this endeavor as well. I know how much college education can benefit my dream as a forensic scientist.
