Hello, my name is Olivia McCracken. I currently attend school at Pea Ridge High School as a sophmore and will be graduating in 2021. I live in Bella Vista, Arkansas with my mom, Tandi. I have lived in Arkansas for almost 4 years after moving from Missouri. Growing up with just me and my mom has created a very close bond. My mom has held me accountable for my own success. She has taught me hard work is the key. She supports me in becoming the best student and athlete possible.
I started playing volleyball when I was around 10, after my mom introduced it to me. Volleyball has been a passion for me ever since I first got my hands on a ball. I started club volleyball with the Ozark Juniors when I was 11. We chose this club as it has the best coaches for teaching technique and growing high level player. I am now playing for Club Net . I take personal lessons in between club seasons. I have been a captain for Pea Ridge. I am a setter for both school and club teams and play all around as an outside hitter and right side hitter. I also train by participating in track and weight lifting. I am currently on Club Net 16-1s. I am dedicated to make myself the most valuable volleyball player that I can be.
My goal is to get into a college that I can get a great education and be at the highest level of volleyball possible. I have always been a great student, which has helped me obtain a high aI always set high goals for myself and having high grades helps me insure I can get the the best education possible in the future. I have learned to be responsible with school and volleyball, by taking care of school work first and foremost while balancing practice and lessons. As a sophomore I take pre-ap and AP classes. This will help prepare me to do well on the ACT. Beyond setting a current goal of a high GPA, my long term goal is to pursue a job in business. The sky is the limit in my mind.
I am a very hard working and dedicated student and athlete. I will not settle for less than my best. I continue to grow as a leader on and off the court. I would like to attend college in the Midwest, but would be open to opportunities further away if it is the right fit for my education and volleyball.
Thank you allowing me to share my personal statement. I look forward to the possibility of being a player you are interested in so I can make my dreams reality.
Sincerely,
Olivia McCracken
