2024 Spotlight
2023 Quarter Fina...
Franklin VS. Eagl...I desire to play college-level volleyball because I have a profound passion for the sport. I have seen it push me to unravel many qualities that have built me up not only as a player but as a person. I am eager to play at a college-level competitiveness because I know I will have a new form of growth in a new challenging environment. I have seen the kind of positive difference it makes when I have prepared myself before the game with a mindset of courage, boldness, strength, and faith to go play my heart out. Learning these kinds of adjustments of what helps me before a game has given me a new level of confidence in my ability to perform and make decisions.
I still push myself to train and elevate my skills on my off days of practice. I work individually with my coaches to correct myself. I gain insight into recent games and put more time into reps to improve. I also work with my sister on strength training in a gym to get physically stronger.
Always having an uplifting spirit on and off the court affects everyone and is crucial to every point that is scored. I have helped by guiding and overcoming my team from discouraging situations. By showing that I have faith in their abilities and acknowledging that everyone contributes towards the success of the game, we have built trust within each other. This has made an impactful difference in the chemistry of the team.
I have gained a lot of experience through different voluntary involvements that have helped me in different volleyball situations. I serve at many ministries at my church which include teaching kids where I learn patience, resolve conflicts, and have self-control. I work with the music ministry where I have been encouraged to share ideas and helped make decisions. I also work with a district ministry of pastors' kids where I have helped plan events, communicate as a team, and take initiative.
With my competitiveness and leadership, I'm yearning to play competitively in college. I’m excited and hopeful to find the right volleyball program and college that best suit me.
