I am a now, senior in high school , I came to the US with my family three years ago, and fluently learned English in a year. During the first two year in high school I didn't want to play any sport due to a past injury I had since little also playing sports. Junior year I made the decision to start playing again, joined three different sports and two of them during the same season, which were volleyball, soccer, and cheer. Unfortunately, I didn't have a great experience with high school volleyball my junior year since my teammates didn't really like newcomers, I was even bullied by some of them but I still`put my mind into every game, leave my problems out of the court, worked with my teammates no matter what, and never gave up and finish my junior season as if nothing ever happened. Academically I want to say I didn't do well my freshman and sophomore year I didn't do well, but I decided to get everything in order this year and started doing better, I'm currently working on getting my overall GPA higher, and worked really hard to end this year with a somewhat good GPA which is a 3.8 and still working to get better. In the future, I want to study medicine and specialize in pediatric, I am aware is a really hard career but is my dream, and I know I'm capable of handling whatever comes with it. Sports have been one of the strongest reasons why I want to wake up and do better everyday, it taught me I am a stronger person than what I think and that I am capable of more than what it seems.
