Iman Abuhijleh '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name’s Iman and I’m a defensive specialist/libero for my club’s volleyball team, and an outside hitter for my high school.  I’ve been playing club for 4 years and counting; now at LAVA East 17-1s. I’ve been varsity captain since freshman year at my high school. My freshman year was the first time my school made it to CIF for over 20 years. Playing multiple positions, I am strong with both defense and offense. I am skillful in reading hitters, serve- receive, overall hustle, and coachability. I've always maintained high academics throughout my education. I want to pursue playing volleyball after high school. I am a committed leader and player who will not stop until I reach my goal.

Some of my accomplishments include MVP (2 yrs in a row), 1st team all league (2 yrs in a row), scholar athlete, and school record holder for aces/kills. I was also named Hemet All- Tournament MVP my freshman and sophomore year. Along with athletic achievements, I have always excelled in the classroom. Currently maintaining a 4.6 gpa, above-average grades is a top priority for me, and always has been. I am a leader on the court and in my community. I've been in ASB all of high school, and Link Crew my junior year. My leadership skills have always been strong, and displayed on the court for my team. 

I am looking for a university where I will be challenged in the classroom and the gym. I love competing and using my energy/ communication to contribute to my team's rhythm. Volleyball is a huge passion of mine, and I am committed to find the school where I can be challenged academically and athletically.
