Personal Statement
The first time I played volleyball when I was 13 years old, I instantly fell in love with the sport. I am very hard-working and driven to succeed both in volleyball and in school. I am a middle-hitter but am always ready to jump into any position. I strive to be a coachable and positive team member. Over the last few years, volleyball has helped me become physically and mentally stronger and has helped me to better myself as an athlete and as a person. When I moved from Georgia to Colorado my freshman year, my teammates became like my family and I am so grateful for a coach and a team that pushes me to be the very best player I can be. I always work hard both on and off the court and am very dedicated to my team and school. I do my very best to act as a leader on my team and in my community and to encourage and support individuals as well as my team. Along with playing volleyball, I love giving back to my community by volunteering in many different places, including coaching a middle school rec volleyball team. I am looking forward to continuing my academic and volleyball careers in college.
