My videos will consist of Club Volleyball tourneys, League Tourneys, Summer HS Tourneys, HS games as well as private training. My videos are raw and show me in raw form, the good and the not so good.

Hello,

My name is Seanna Conklin. I live in Firestone Co. I am a junior in HS and I attend Frederick HS. I am a new transfer after the school year had started. I play for the Frederick HS Warriors. The program is solid and the coaching is "Excellent".

I love school! There is no other way to explain it. I actually enjoy learning. I try to keep a very competitive academic schedule. My strengths are Math and Science. I have been blessed or lucky to have some very amazing teachers for my High School career! While I was at Mead HS I belonged to Robotics Club and was named to attend an engineering summer program. I also belonged to Interact Club, which helped school fundraising and community outreach. My favorite club I belonged to was MESA, Math Engineering, Science and Achievement. My AP Environmental Science class was my favorite class. I can't get enough of Science!  I am a strong student and get good grades. I spend my study time usually in a car because I'm traveling from one place to another for VB. Most people don't realize in Colorado everything is a drive to get anywhere.

2016-2017- I now attend Frederick HS! So far everything is amazing. I belong to a school who has the best team spirit. Everyday it seems there is some kind of team sport activity. All the students rally together to support each team. As a transfer I was worried that I wouldn't have the same type of education with great teachers. Again I am very lucky to have every single one of my teachers to be exactly what I need for a great learning experience. Since I was a transfer there were not as many classes available. Normally I try to take double math or science and really no extra curricular classes. This year I am in three art type of classes. Art is one of my passions but, I do not usually take classes for art. It is a nice break since my volleyball schedule is extreme. As far as Volleyball for my school I am new to their program and a transfer, there are a few eligibility rules I am having to abide by as a transfer. I play Right Side a position I have just started to learn. The coach is new and building the program. He started last Volleyball season. The program is strong and my teammates are like family already. They welcomed me with open arms. I was very surprised by this as volleyball in my area is extremely competitive and I did come from the rival school!!!

Club 2017-2018 Rocky Select Volleyball Club 18's Black. I am extremely excited about my last season of Club Volleyball, I have a great team and we are strong and will compete at the highest level of play. The program is strong and has amazing coaches. They push us to our limits.

Club 2016-2017 I played Club for High Impact Volleyball Club as a Middle Blocker. This was a great club which challenged me and brought out the competitive side of me.

Club 2015-2016: Last year I played for Set Spike Sports. They built great foundation for me as an all around player. My Coaches were Ed Ericksen and Ty. They taught me how to be strong in will and character. They taught me how to be respectful and gracious. They beleived in me and they built me up as a person and a player. I cannot say enough great things about them as coaches. They love the game and dedicate their time to build a player who will succeed on the court and off the court. When I am not at school or studying I train. I either go to camps or clinics that will help up my game. I attended college camps, basically all the camps during the summer in my area. I attend almost every skills or college skills camp they have at Norco a local VB club here in Colorado. I found me a personal trainer to help me get faster and higher. Now this seems a little extreme. I'm not one of those kids or have one of those parents who go crazy about it. I have to earn every bit of my training. The one rule my parents have is that in order to be in volleyball I have to have good grades. I know I have what it takes to play at a higher level! Luckily I have had some pretty amazing people support my goals. This summer I attended every open club gym there was on top of my extremely packed HS summer VB schedule. I attended as many college camps and skills clinics I could get to, that I could fit into my schedule. I had on week off the entire summer and every day other than that week I traveled from city to city going to all the open gyms. I signed up for every club tryout I could fit into my schedule. I had four offers from four different clubs which were all higher level teams than I was on last season. I needed to up my game and start working with higher level players. I decided I was going to be that person who clearly was not at that level of play but also wasn't going to let that stop me. By the end of this summer I moved up from last division club play to D2-D4 club play. I'm very proud of that. Of course going to different club open gyms meant, different coaching styles and different positions. One club wanted me back row, another middle, setter and another outside. Attending different open gyms made me a good all around player. I am the type of person who if a coach likes something specific about a player and I don't have that skill I pactice until I get that skill down. I am right handed and my HS coach at my past HS loves lefties. I started using my left hand, hitting with my left hand and now I can use my left hand in game play strong. This will give you an idea of how dedicated I am to learning and being a strong player.

This year for the 2017 club season I will be playing for High Impact VBC. I'm taking a risk as they are rebuilding their 17's team. I am very excited about this.

Some personal info about me. I live with my dad, mom, brother and sister. Both my parents work hard and they both work in the oil and gas industry. My brother and sister are both younger than me. I'm a shy person but not on the court..... I play the violin, I'm not that great at it. My little sister has a rare genetic disorder and is the 13th person in the world to have it. With that comes a lot of doctors and sickness for her. She is strong and a little VB player and she loves the sport as well. My brother of course likes video games. As far as me, I like the typical things teenage girls like. Big Bang Theory, and DC comics. I'm a geek, nerd and jock all wrapped up in one ball of awkwardness...... I am actually very proud of that. When I have free time I coach young VB players skills camps. Which I love teaching young kids to love VB as much as I do. In Colorado we are just starting our first boys leagues. Which is huge, I'm very excited about that. I will soon have my own league team that I will be head coach!

As a player. I'm aggressive. I love hitting, stuffing balls and my strong point is reading the players and the play. Since I am shy I have learned to watch others and I can read them pretty good. My strong point is serving. I love to serve! Back row is one of my favorite spots! Even though I'm a big girl I love that back row. Back row attacks and digs are a strong point of mine.  I will always go for a ball, always. I go to the ground to get the ball, I hit the floor. Since I'm a hitter I'm not sure why I love back row. I do though.... I am right handed but, practice with both hands and use my left for hitting and tips as well. I like to trick with my left hand. I am coachable. I am lucky to have parents who support me and not coach me! They raised me to be my own person and take care of myself. Nothing scares me on the court. I play better under pressure! I like to intimidate the other team.  I get along with my team mates and like to do a lot of team bonding, since we practically spend all our time with each other.  I'm dedicated and I know that taking it to the next level I have to train like it! I know what it is like to go the extra mile to be ahead of the pack.

Weeknesses: I am not a runner. Not even close to it. I used to take losing hard. I would get hard on myself. Now I have learned that if something is done wrong, learn from it, adjust, fix it and be ready the next time. I'm shy, I watch, do and learn. Now I ask more questions and am not as afraid to talk to my setter or back row.

When reading this you will think this girl really is not what I'm looking for. I ask you to take a look at me as a person and a player. The time and dedication I have put into getting where I need to be in a short amount of time. A lot of people said no it's not possible but, there are those who saw me and thought I'm going to take a chance with this girl! Not one of those people wasted their time. If they beleived in me, I was sure to work above and beyond to show them I am worth that time, dedication and that chance they took! I look at it this way, if I can dedicate myself, put in the work and improve in this amount of time imagine what another two years will do for me. With the right coaches, training and path I've taken to commit I know I will be ready for the next level.

With me you will get a kind, generous, caring girl with good character! As a player you will get all that and more. You see tons of girls who are dedicated and put in the work, I know that. With me, you will be taking a risk and a chance. Saying that, in two years I've had many great people who took a chance with me and it's paid off for them. It has paid off for me as well. I am more confidant and this sport has taught me how being an athlete isn't just about play and winning. It's bigger than that. It's a way of life!

Well, I hope this gives you a little insight of who I am as a person, student and player. As you can see I like to write and talk. Which honestly is not a strong point.  I know I probably gave way to much info "more is not necessarily good" and it may be off putting but, it's best to know me before contact. As when you talk with me its nice to know ahead of time I am quiet.

Thank you for your time and interest in me and my profile. Remember take a look at my Instagram: conklin24volleyballmiddle               You will be able to see Club, League, some HS since I am a transfer it is limited and training.
