Personal Statement
In college, my goals are to work just as hard in the classroom as I do in the gym. I'm undecided in my major at this time.
I'm a unique player in the fact that you have to see me play rather than go by my stats. I may not be the tallest middle but my athleticism, high volleyball IQ, aggressiveness at the net and explosiveness and quick swing is undeniable.
I would make a great fit for the right volleyball team looking for a player who has great work ethic and understands team dynamics. I not only push myself to play at my best but my teammates as well. I strive to not only be the best player I can be, but to be the best teammate, too. I also try to help bring energy and fight to my team during close games.
I am competitive and also supportive of my teammates. I understand that when I'm getting blocked, to draw the block so the other hitters can score. Being a top athlete is as much about supporting my teammates as it is about my stats. I understand that very well even at my age now and I believe this comes from having parents that have instilled in me and my three brothers what it means to be a part of a family: contribution, sacrifice, support. My teammates are my sisters.
In class, I like to compete to get the best grade in the class! It pushes me not to get too comfortable and to always strive for the best but at the same time know if I give my best, my best is good enough.
