Sharide Sykes '22 Recruiting Profile

My goal has always been to be a collegiate athlete. Being part of a team advances my skills, teamwork, commitment, time management, endurance, and perseverance. These are skills that I know I need both personally and professionally. Volleyball offers these qualities, also a  second home when I am away from home. I am the middle child of 3 girls and continue to learn from my oldest and mentor my youngest sister. Family and working together are very important to me to be successful as a unit. Volleyball is a safe space where I am able to share my gifts and talents while increasing my personal goals as an athlete. Being dedicated with activities, allows me to continue to grow the love I have for Volleyball and my upcoming future.
