Personal Statement
My dad introduced me to volleyball when I was eight years old. The first time I ever played, I got hit in the face and cried. But this did not stop me from returning to the gym two days later. Ever since, I have fallen in love with the game. I am a hard worker and value technique whenever I play. I love winning, but also understand the value of having fun, in volleyball and in life. Coachability is one of my strong suits, and I am always open to learning how to improve my game. I also know that teamwork is of utmost importance; as the saying goes, "teamwork makes the dream work."
In school, I am focused and driven, as I take all honors and AP classes. I enjoy learning new things and new perspectives, and hope to work in the STEM field in the future. I am also creative and quite imaginative, and joining the school newspaper this year helps express this.
I would love to have the opportunity to play volleyball in college, as I would be able to challenge myself not only on the court, but also through my education.
