Personal Statement
I've always had a love for volleyball and a strong desire to work hard. In my off time I work on my skills, train, and tend to my academic needs. I strive to improve in everything I do and go above and beyond to do my very best. At age sixteen, I received my 1st Dan Black Belt in Gōjū-ryū Karate after ten active years of study. I am also working diligently on my vertical leap and overall physical strength. In conjunction with taking a course on Finance at the Wharton Global Youth Program, at age fifteen, I co-founded an LLC called the Waikiki Auction House, curating original vintage baseball cards, rare books, and coins. My primary mission is focusing on Youth Marketing and as an Outreach Coordinator (www.linkedin.com/in/luna-ann-brown). During my recovery time, I like to read, sketch, and work with computers. I am also enrolled in my school's International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.
* 2022 Notes: For the regular season, I led the State of Hawaii in Blocks (solo & assisted) and was the 9th in kills. 2022 high school season: 9 matches, 32 sets, 74 kills, .517 hitting%, .673 kill%, 18 blocks-solo, 26 blocks-assisted, 3 aces, 4 assists, 12 digs.
