Emilee Groer '22 Recruiting Profile

My aspiration is to succeed to the best of my abilities. I would also like to engage in social activities. I am a very optimistic player that likes to be goal orientated and I like to make the other players on my team feel the same.  I love to push myself and my teammates to the best of their abilities whether it's in our games or just in one of our practices.  I am different from other recruits because while playing the game, I am focused and always willing to fix my mistakes and try new things outside my comfort zone. One thing about me is that while I am on the court, I always spread my out goingness and my positive hyperness that becomes contagious, whether we are winning or losing. I still understand that sometimes we lose a game and that is where we can learn from our mistakes and fix them, because not every team wins.  I am always looking for feedback to get better even if it's from my teammates or my coach, and whether it is positive or negative. I willing to play any position to the best of my abilities. I am an all around vocal team player.  This season and last season, I was fortunate enough to have won 1st place in three to four back to back tournaments and in our previous last Schaumburg tournament we won 2nd place. 

While I am in class, I am still focused on my grades and what is going on around me.  I still enjoy the game and school, and love making them fun. I love doing activities, outside of school and academics, whether it's spending time with friends, and going miniature golfing or if I'm spending a relaxing night at home with my family.
