My name is Tiffany Smith and I am a out-going leader. I like to help others when they are in a time of need to let them know someone is always there to help or support them. I like taking the initiative to help people by showing them things they may be struggling with to help them, or to just simply give them someone to talk to when they need it. I like to let people know there is someone there listening and someone there to help them when they need it.
The most influential people in my life are my parents. I come from separated parents who have always tried their hardest to support me in everything and provide me with essential things no matter the situation. That alone inspires me everyday to try my hardest and accomplish my goals. I look up to both my mom and my dad so much because they both have overcome so much in life and still manage to support and provide in everything, not just what I do, but my siblings as well.
Academically I have always pushed myself to do better. I have learned a lot of traits and qualities about myself over the past couple of years to know what I want to do in the future. I learned that I like helping people, specifically kids, and I like to teach them new things. With that I decided I want to continue my education to become an elementary teacher. I want to graduate with a Bachelor's in Education and eventually once I get a teaching job continue on to get my Masters degree.
When I was in 3rd grade I began coming to our high school camps, called the Steamer Camps. I started really enjoying playing the game and I always looked up to the older girls who could smack a ball down. I would tell myself, "I am going to do that one day". After that I continued going to all the Steamer camps and once freshman year for high school started, I was doing all the camps we offered. I always found volleyball as a way for my to get away from my everyday life and a place to relax. I push myself every practice to work harder and get better, because I want to be the best I can be. I have always had a passion for the game and that passion continues to grow everyday.
