For as long as I can recall, volleyball has been one of the biggest factors of my life. I want to play volleyball in college because I love playing and can never get enough of it. I love the sport because you can not obtain perfection, there is always more to learn. I first found the love of volleyball when I was nine, and my mom would bring me to the gym to watch and play on the side while she coached. From that point on, I loved the game and desired to be playing volleyball at the gym all the time. Since sixth grade, I have had the dream to play volleyball throughout college, then become a coach in the future.
I would be beneficial to any team because of my sportsmanship, leadership, and work ethic on and off the court. I strive to have a positive attitude because negativity can affect your playing or the team. As well as having a great attitude, I work extremely hard at my craft. I am the first person in the gym and the last to leave. Besides working hard in the gym, I work hard to improve all aspects of my game at home. I dedicate myself to becoming a better player by pushing myself to the next level. I also study volleyball to be a smart, deceptive player on the court. As a setter, I aspire to be a leader to my teammates. I choose to lead by example and hope to impact my teammates in a positive way.
My goals for the college I attend are a strong education, stay close to home, and play volleyball at a competitive level. I want to have a career in forensic science, so I will be majoring in biology. I wish to have my college close to home, so I have easy access to my family. My family has always been there to support and encourage me. I couldn't imagine not having them nearby. Next, I would love to play volleyball at a competitive level. It has been a dream to play competitive volleyball since I was little. To fulfill that dream would be absolutely amazing.
