Volleyball is the sport I fell in love with in first grade and have excelled at ever since. I’ve experienced the benefits of being a multi-sport athlete, including an All-State basketball player. Since the club seasons overlap, I have decided to specialize and pursue my goal of being a college volleyball player. I hope to find a college that values my dedication to volleyball in addition to providing me an opportunity to start working towards my career in Healthcare.
In the game of volleyball, being an outside hitter takes more than just skill. I am a mentally and physically tough player that fills this role perfectly. Stamina and endurance is an important part of being an outside hitter. Defensively, I am deliberate in my blocking, passing, digging, positioning, and communicating. My strength and control is demonstrated on the offensive side through my strategic ball placement when attacking and serving. My leadership, communication, teamwork, and strategic thinking is what sets me aside from other players. I am a valued teammate due to my strong personality considering I am competitive, hardworking, easy to get along with, coachable, and fun.
In today's collegiate environment, volleyball expertise is no longer enough. Mental toughness plays a vital role in the effectiveness of all athletes. Focus, determination, positive thinking, and optimism are all skills I possess. I am mentally tough and ready to represent a collegiate volleyball program.
