Clare Williams '24 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coach, 

My name is Clare Williams and I am an incoming senior at Naperville Central High School graduating class of 2024, located in Naperville, IL. I wanted to reach out to you and express my interest in your volleyball program and school. My love of volleyball isn't like most athletes as I began this journey playing competitive soccer at a very young age which continues to help with my agility and speed in the game. I quickly discovered the advantages of being tall and trained with varsity soccer as a freshman goalkeeper, however I decided volleyball is my passion and it allows to me use my competitive edge and height. I love the fast pace of volleyball and believe good volleyball continues to move at a fast momentum. I've always loved playing on a team sport and believe my strengths lie in encouraging and supporting my teammates,  possessing a killer instinct, staying competitive and also the ability to laugh at yourself a little. I am a middle blocker and 6"1. I play for 1st Alliance Volleyball Club in Woodridge, IL. My primary goal is to increase my vertical touch to 9’10 and continue focusing on lifting to increase blocking strength. I  played at AAUs this year and last year my team and I won gold in 16 Spirit division and I was awarded All American for my age group.

Your college is especially interesting to me because they have extensive liberal arts programs, I feel Speech Pathology is the path I want to follow in college but want to keep an open mind with a college that has broad liberal arts options. Thanks for your time, Clare Williams
