I am a 5’ 5” sophomore at Normal West High School in Illinois. I have been playing volleyball for five years. When I first started playing volleyball I was an outside but for the past three years I have been a setter. By having played other positions helps me with setting different positions because I understand their responsibilities and where they likely want their set. During my freshman year I pulled my TFL and as a result I was out for the whole season; I have worked hard to get myself back to where I am now. This year, my sophomore year, I have been a starter and running both 5-1 and a 6-2. By running both I connected with the hitters on my team very well to allow us to be able to run different things with different lineups and succeed as a team.
I have played on my middle and high school teams, Prime Time VBC and Illini Elite VBC. With playing at these different places and with different teams has allowed me to have the ability to interact with new people and get to know them. I am focused on becoming a physical therapist. I want an institution that will challenge me academically and athletically, helping me to succeed for later on in life.
